CURRENT AND RECENT WORK
Significant projects include:
- advising Universal Music Group (working with Universal’s competition and corporate
legal teams) in connection with the divestments required by the European Commission
following Universal’s acquisition of EMI. Advising Universal on various aspects
of the restructuring required to effect the divestments
- providing UK Vendor Due Diligence report for proposed sale by Universal (as required
by the European Commission) of the Parlophone Label Group
- acting as head of business affairs (during employee leave) for Universal Music Group
International, Global Digital Business (the division responsible for Universal’s
digital strategy and its relationships and agreements with all digital download
and streaming services)
CLIENTS
Andrew has acted for various parts of the Universal Music Group since leaving Universal
as an employee in 2000.
Other clients include a major music streaming service, several leading independent
record labels, music management companies, music industry executives and entrepreneurs,
recording artists, broadcasters, songwriters, producers and authors.
